Charles D.'s recent Seaway Run 5K times

2006 29:32
2007 28:52 (modern day 5K P.R.)

2008 Goal: Beat last year's time (i.e. a new modern day 5K P.R.) and at least 4 people in my age group.

Try to run your first mile in the 9:05-9:10 range. The first mile is the toughest on that course. The rest is basically downhill, so you should be able to run more even splits on this course. A 9:10 first mile on this course is like an 8:55 on the asparagus course.

So on this course if you run a 9:10 opening mile, you should be able to run a 9:10 second mile. That would put you in great shape to PR, since the last mile features a long downhill.

Shoot for sub 18:30 at two miles.
