Easy 3
I did an easy 3 this morning, but it wasn't easy. My legs felt horrible. It took over 2 miles before my calves loosened up. I had this problem yesterday too. My calves feel so tight that I can barely run until I've run for like 20 mins, then they loosen up and I'm fine. My first two miles was 21:00, then when my calves loosened up I picked up the pace and finished in 30:50.
After my run, I walked a few miles with mom. I thought it might help reduce lactic acid and keep my legs loose.
I am exhausted. I have no energy. As Raj pointed out, after I run at home, I just go sit at my desk all day. Here, after I run, I'm up on my feet pretty much the whole day. I think I might need a day OFF!!!

Calves are likely sore from running faster. You're running up on your toes more now. Also messing around in the sand makes you dig more w/ your toes. As long as they're equally sore and you don't pull anything it's just a matter of loosening up. Make sure you're stretching after the run. There are two major calf muscles and they both need to be stretched. Otherwise you will get shin splints.
Day off is Friday. Tomorrow shouldn't be too difficult. You and dad both had a real good workout yesterday, but it was tough. You shouldn't expect to have a blazing easy day the day after.
Running at the lake is hard because of being up all day and in the sun/water saps your energy. I've never had a fast run there my entire life. It's always a struggle, but it's just a matter of getting in the work. Trust me I considered all these factors when designing this week's workouts.
