marli and sydney workout

both girls ran a 400 today again. They beat their last week times by 1 second. Marli had 1:51 and Sydney had 2:01. I rewarded them with a trip to the pool this afternoon.

not a good running week

ran 3 miles on the treadmill last monday and after felt a lot of pain in my foot/heel/ankle. I have been kind of limping around all week. I finally ran today at the track 3 miles but was in pain the whole time. Now I am hobbling worse. Not very happy about it...It only hurts when I put pressure on it. So I know I didn't twist my ankle because that would hurt even sitting.

4 mile power walk

Mom and I did a 4 mile power walk at the lake this morning in 57:40 (14:24 ppm). Gorgeous here to day.

4 mile walk

Walked 4 miles Saturday with Mom at Silver Lake. 60 minutes (15:00 ppm). Ray Bruin stopped us, but we still did it in an hour.

marli and sydney workout

the girls jogged a couple laps on the track this morning (not in a row). Before we left they each did a 400 for time. Marli got 1:52 and Sydney got 2:02. I thought that was pretty good for their first time timed.

Sunday (today)-6 miles at KVCC track: 1 mile warm up, 4 miles of intervals (1 fast lap, 1 slow lap) and 1 mile cool down.

4 mile walk

Walked 4 miles with Mom this morning at the lake. Nobody on the lake and hardly a car. Our goal was 15 minute miles, which we made exactly.

1.67 miles very easy

Ran 1.67 miles this morning at the lake in 17:28 (10:27 ppm). Hadn't run since Sunday because of bad cold. Quit at 1.67 because right knee was tweaking.

3.41 miles at the lake

Ran 3.41 miles at the lake this morning in gorgeous warm sunny weather. Time was 30:09 (10:02 ppm). Leg felt OK for the first time since my injury in late July. However, lower abs were very sore for the entire run. Can't figure that one out.

week in review

Monday-3 miles treadmill, pace 9:30
Tuesday-off, lifted weights
Wednesday- off
Thursday- 3 hard at the lake, pace 8:15 (actually I only know that was the pace for the 2nd and 3rd mile because my timer stopped during the first mile but I am sure it was all the same).
Friday- 5 medium slow, pace 9:12, my ipod died during the first mile it was torture the rest of the way.

And what is with all the blue hair couples hogging the shoulder, they don't even move for you. I had to go practically to the median twice just to get around these people.

Not sure what I should do tomorrow, left knee is hurting. It would be great if for once I had no pains.I hate the treadmill during the week so I like to get my long runs in on the weekend. Oh and by the way since I have started running I have actually gained 5 pounds.

2.5 miles easy in Bloomie (part 4 and last)

A little warmer and a little more humid today in Bloomie. Ran 2.5 miles in 25:18 (10:07 ppm). Tomorrow is a travel day.

Ran 2.5 miles in Bloomie this morning. Time was 25:11 (10:04 ppm). Looks like I've been very consistent regarding the pace this week.

3 miles easy in Bloomie

Ran 3 miles easy in sunny and cool Bloomie this morning. Time was 30:20 (10:07 ppm). Time at 2 mile mark was 19:59 so 3rd mile was considerably slower. First time since injury (5 1/2 weeks ago) that I have run 3 miles so I am satisfied.
