3.5 miles intervals + 2.0 mile walk
We did 3.5 miles of intervals on the beach this morning. Same routine -- 4 minutes jog followed by 2 minutes walk. Finished with 2 miles walking cool down.

5.5 miles of intervals Tuesday. Mom and I ran 4 minutes and walked 2 minutes the entire distance. Today we walked 5.5 miles.
While Mom took a walk with Devin's mom, I did a 3 mile long run on the beach. Went out too fast in the first mile at 10:30 and slowed down considerably the last 2 miles in order to finish. Time was 32:15 (10:45 ppm).
Mom and I walked 2 miles easy on the beach this afternoon. Saving it for the long run tomorrow.
Mom and I walked 6 miles this a.m. to the Farmer's Market and then 2 more miles on the beach this afternoon. Too cool to lounge by the pool.
Mom and I did intervals on the beach this a.m. The first 2.75 miles we ran 4 minutes and walked 3 minutes. Time was 33:25 (12:09 ppm), which was almost the exact time as yesterday. On the way back we ran a minute then walked a minute. PPM on the return trip was about 13:41. Total time for the 5.5 miles was 71:00 (12:55 ppm).
Mom and I did 2.75 miles of intervals on the beach this a.m. We ran 4 minutes up tempo and then walked 3 minutes. Total time was 33:20(12:07 ppm).
Worked out in the pool for 45 minutes (with my Hawaiian White Tiger swim mitts) and later walked 4 miles on the beach with Mom.
Mom and I did 2.7 miles easy on the beach and then a 2.7 mile cool down walk, also on the beach. My ppm for the easy jog was 11:17. Bad left knee, now bad left ankle, and overweight equals slowness. Thank goodness I have 3 months to the Asparagus Run. Mom did the entire 2.7 mile easy jog, a little slower than me but not much.
Mom and I walked 2.4 miles fast on the beach this morning, and then I worked out on the leg weight machine for my knees to strengthen the muscles around them. Started this earlier this week, and I think it is helping.
Mom and I walked 4 miles fast and then did some ladders (right terminology?) for the last 2.55 miles. We did 1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2-1 minute easy jogs with a 1 minute walking rest in between. Mom set the pace the entire time. She is in better shape than I am, for sure.
We did a 50 minute power walk off the beach this morning because the wind was really blowing hard from the north. Hope we can run a little on the beach tomorrow. Left knee is still troublesome, but I discovered they have a leg lift weight machine here at the condo, and I started using it yesterday to help strengthen the muscles around the knee.
Went to the Crack and Back. 13:43. Difficult run tonight because all the snow on the trail is rough and hard now.
Mom and I took an "off" day today with a 5.5 mile easy walk on the beach. Hope to resume a more vigorous workout tomorrow.
